An independent office with a lot of comparative work
Adfinas Delgo has nineteen employees within banking and insurance activities. As an independent office, the team must be able to compare dozens of companies and products side by side to give customers the right advice.
Director Niels Van Weyenbergh explains: "Previously, information was gathered manually, often in Excel, with each detail requiring a separate search, which was not only time-consuming but often dragged on for a long time."
Lara, employee in claims and insurance, recognizes the same problem when comparing policy terms: "With so many companies and products, it's impossible to know every guarantee and every amount by heart."
Comparing, assessing and communicating took a lot of time
Comparing products was labor-intensive, but it wasn't the only bottleneck. Lara has only recently started working in claims and must determine with each new claim which coverage applies and which documents are needed. In addition, drafting and rewriting emails takes a lot of time, especially when formal responses from companies have to be converted into understandable language, sometimes also in French. New employees also struggle with unfamiliar insurance terms, and repetitive administration causes frustration.
Oniroco as daily support in practice
The team uses Oniroco to quickly consult product terms, create comparisons and refine customer communications. For example, colleagues assess rejections in legal expense insurance files using Oniroco, which generates automatically substantiated responses. A task that, until recently, had required a lot of manual research. New employees use the tool to better understand insurance concepts, without having to involve a colleague each time.
From 1 hour to five minutes
The figures speak for themselves: "A comparison that used to easily take an hour can now be made in about five minutes." According to Niels Van Weyenbergh.
Lara estimates her own time savings at least 50% through automated processes. This time saving not only comes from information being available faster, but also from it being presented more clearly. This allows employees to verify the result and immediately share it with the customer. The freed-up time goes towards personal advice for the current portfolio but also towards new processing, given that the office is growing strongly with the same team.
Processes from 1 hour to five minutes?
Bringing a process that takes 1 hour down to five minutes through AI, does this sound like a utopia? Then be sure to book a meeting with Pieter to see how we do this for other insurance brokers.
